First cast in the new spot we pulled up on
An excellent fishery. The best smallmouth lake in southeast Wisconsin. Largemouth and Northern Pike are well represented. Bluegill and Crappie are nice size too! Add lakers and Brown Trout for some excitement. 5,262 acres
This lake is usually about 3 weeks behind the others regarding the spawn (because it takes a while for its temp to go up due to its size) so I was fishing with a ...more 5" Yum Dinger on a 3/16 shaky jig, slowly in 5-20' feet of water. Didn't get a bite from 7:00am-12:00pm but right at 12:05 the Largemouth started jammin'! In a few spots I caught multiple keepers. Watch your line!
This lake has been reborn with an increasing bass population, slab Crappie, northerns and Walleye.
