After many bit through Gulp minnows and a handful shaking off the Sabiki I finally landed one of these baby Blues. It's not much but was a blast to find a school ...more of fish and work the lure through em and constantly get hammered with bites. Today started a new addiction of lure fishing for saltwater species. May be small but I'm stoked and look forward to learning and progressing more.

Worked the rig through the school of minnows with a twitch twitch pause reel repeat retrieve. Most hits came right after the pause. Cloudy, mid 70's with a light ...more breeze on outgoing tide.

I've been taking a break from Bass fishing to try and learn more about fishing the river/saltwater. After catching some Flounders here the other day I picked ...more up some 1/4oz jig heads and some different Gulp baits. Started out with that and found a school of small Bluefish off the corner of the pier chasing minnows. The were hammering the bait but I couldn't set the hook on any. Switched to the

Had a blast this morning doing some more research on a new spot for us. We hit the pier at Coltons Point at 8am...cloudy and breezy in the mid 70's. Tide was ...more high and then going out. Caught a couple Croaker and Perch on bloodworm but nothing of great size. Not much interest in the squid cast deeper. However I decided to throw some on my sons rod while he was eating and cast it around the edge of

around the pier. Tied a fluke rig on one of my other rods and tipped it with squid to go after some keepers but no luck. In fact after that the bite completely died ...more for me. Can't wait to go try again!

the pier. I had seen a couple kids bring in some Herring close to the pier on squid so I thought that's what I was going after. Much to my surprise I came up ...more with a couple small Flounder jigging
