Recently shared catches and fishing spots

  1. 70 deg. Light to no wind, 3 ft water blue bird sky.

Largemouth Bass with a Culprit 7.5 tomato worm

  2. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Pictured: old style rattle trap with rusty hooks

Well, It was too nice outside to be sleeping so I took a trip around waterloo and eventually got a good bite! I'm in love with this reel, it's flawless. ...more I found the inertia breaks on the side and you cm don't even have to use your thumb to control the spool, and still have some serious distance. Love it.

  3. Details: Golden Rainbow Trout with a PowerBait Power Worms

  4. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Kastmaster spoon

So guys I'm calling it now, best lure of all time: Kastmaster spoon. Fish can't stand to let this thing keep swimming, this is the biggest fish I've ...more caught out of here on an absolutely perfect day before 30° temps tomorrow for a few weeks. Lost a 5'er last winter from a slipped knot 😞. Only disadvantage of this lure is that since the tail kicks back and forth very violently you will miss bites!

  5. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Little George

This is a picture I never did post on here, decent fish for this lake. There is a common misconception that the season is ending and fishing is over until April ...more and May... I caught this fish on January 18th 2014 when it was 40° w/ hard wind, the fish are always there, and they are always eating, you just have to know how to catch them! Stay determined and don't be afraid to get out in the cold!

  6. Details: American Shad with a Seen

So I'm walking the banks fishing when I stumble upon a big freshly killed gizzard shad! I don't have much but I'll but it into peices and use a wacky ...more rig hook and weight to see if I can catch a cat! Be resourceful!

  7. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Spoon ( as seen )

First decent fish I've caught out of here in a while!! Slow rolling a spoon and BAM this guy hit hard! I'm assuming it's the first time he's been ...more caught also because he freaked when he touched the ground! Didn't stop moving for a minute straight! And I got a great hookset on him, had to pull and tear a little more than I'd like to get it out but he was happy to swim away! Man I love October fishin

  8. Details: Green Sunfish with a Crankbait

Went to waterloo again and caught this big and amazingly beautiful (species unknown) the temperature out is around 60 and the water temp is 80 so I decided it would ...more be a perfect opportunity to fish. Hadn't had any strikes and pitched a crank under the dock and he instantly ate! I think I scared him lol, but the tips of the fins resemble an artic char! I guess because of temp change?

That's cool it looks a lot like a war mouth I've never caught a green sunfish
    2. Sean Wilms 0

Thanks! There's so many kinds I can keep track! @ChrisA

That's a green sunfish. The orange on the fins, blue markings on the face, and big mouth can help you identify them.

  9. It's not all about catching fish for me, even if I get skunked the sunset always makes my efforts worth it!

  10. Details: Largemouth Bass with a Shad storm rattletrap

Got bored and decided to go and try my luck at Waterloo again, this place is heavily fished and because I can't drive I am very limited as to where I can fish. ...more So I put this rattle trap on after a few other lures and chunked it as far as I can and caught this LUNKER! Lol the lure weighed more than the fish and I wasn't even reeling fast and the fish was dragging on top haha, my first spotted bass.

    1. Sutton Dole 0
Lol sorry to be a buzzkill
    2. jugg 0
