4 lb. 14 oz. Largemouth Bass with a squarebill

    1. Morris I am going to come catch some with you one of these days!😎
    2. Still have some waiting for you Shawn:)
    3. I had a client that didn't want to use live bait. Had 3 shiners left in the well from the day before. Early the first morning,I took a 12" shiner out of ...more the well and asked him if he would just humor me for a few minutes. 5 minutes later he caught his first double digit a 10-9, next shiner caught a 9-3 he missed the third bass which was close to 11. Next 2 days he insisted on having 8 to 10 dozen shiners. Forgot all about his swim jigs:)

From our boat storage next to Hanks down to Mill Creek takes closer to an hour. I wouldn’t do it either if I were already catching the fish that you do!
    5. LOL, I can decipher the typos.
    6. It is very clear down here too. You can see down about 7-8 feet which is really clear for us. If it doesn't rain much it will stay clear until winter. It is ...more hard to drive 30 miles when I live five min from the ramp.
    7. Karen daniel 0
That was a lot of typos sorry I’m talking to my phone

Lol hey I love the Mill Creek area! We fish the north into more because that’s where my husbands family has their house. It has been different though in that ...more the water is really clear right now which is very unusual for that and leg and the school fish for catching are much bigger than I’ve seen in the 25 years I’ve been going up there. Night fishing in the creeks of Hanks was incredible. No my husband said he always used to be that way so here’s hoping But I’m not holding my breath LOL
    9. Karen, I have been hearing that from others. Up north has been much better. I guess I have to drive 30 miles and launch up north. Thanks for the tip.
    10. Karen daniel 0
Shawn, we were camping the past two weeks at the north end and we caught dozens of great fish, almost ALL at 9-10 pm or 10-12 in the middle of the day. Might as ...more well sleep in! 🎣

    13. I feel you Gene, it is hard in the summer months. I get a few in the morning and a few near dark. Middle of the day you got to fish deep or under the hydrilla.

I've thrown so many square bill over rocks I've now got a collection of lipless baits. Jim suggested live baits and he is spot on. Bait shops cant keep enough ...more shiners in stock. I'm old school or stupid. I dont use live baits. Another month of this bite and I might be adding rod holders! I already have 2 livewell. Just need circle hooks. Nice bass! searching fior
