I have also landed a few decent fish along the bank and pier at conn brown harbor. Unfortunately I think the hurricane destroyed the pier.

The causeway channel cuts underneath the road in several places between aransas pass and the ferry. Park anywhere you can along the causeway road and fish the narrow ...more guts and holes. I have best luck on live or fresh dead shrimp.

I am a little clueless and would appreciate any advice about cold weather tactics in and around the bay and grass flats.

Last time I was there in late/fall winter, we found a deep hole in a marsh just off the main drain and limited out on sheepshead, using dead shrimp.
