Yea they were hardly hitting man. I've been wanting to kayak for some time now, I might just do a few practice runs in bayou one day. You'd be surprised, ...more with what you can catch in these bayous. Gator, gar, freshwater drum, etc.

Tough fishing for bass on the Bayou. Any catch is a good catch. Try a kayak you'll get more access

Went to visit my mom and sisters for the day and went fishing before I went home. Got some shrimp, literally 2 and 1/4 pieces from my sister (her being stingy) but ...more they were jumbo shrimp. I can't complain. First time catfishing in awhile. I caught this one lost 2 good ones, it's better than getting skunked.

@ddhtwn Yeah was about a pound and a half or two. That other I hooked up on was a good 5 I could tell by the way I set the hook to the pole bend.
  8. Details: Blue Catfish

Caught this 8 pounder shortly after the first catfish.

Out fishing for the first bass of the year but I ended up catching a buffalo, the fish surprised me. I thought I had a huge bass but no. I can tell you one thing ...more for sure these fish can fight for sure. What a great way to bring in the New Year with a hard fight.

    1. QBolden 0
@ddhtwn I have the picture up
    2. QBolden 0
@ddhtwn Yeah it hit on a minnow from bass pro shop, and yeah it was one good fight but wait til I post my next post and we can talk about a fight.

@wyldechylde77 Thanks man I really appreciate it, now thinking about it it did have teeth in the back of its mouth.

Plus, being up here in NY, I've certainly caught my fair share of Sheepshesd to know one haha. Either way, great job!
    5. Chuck LaBruna 0
Nice job, but that is a Freshwater Drum (Sheepshead, Gaspergou). Buffalo look almost indentical to carp, and have large, forked tails, and much larger scales
