    It was a good weekend at Presque Isle. 17 bass and a pike in a day and a half of fishing. The largest was just under 3 lbs. Definitely some healthy fish.

      Matt, I use a Humminbird Helix 5. Lowrance, Humminbird, or Garmin units within the same price range will serve you well.

    Caught another 3 1/2 lb bass. This one hit next to an embankment. I didn’t get a good hook set, and he spit it. 20 mins later, I casted to the same spot, and he ...more hit again. I didn’t miss the second time. He was blind in one eye.

    Biggest of 18 fish caught. All of the smallies were in the 2-3 lb range. Action picked up when the wind created a light surface chop.

    Caught six smallies about this size. Today was a fishing potluck. I caught 28 fish total, 5 different species, and 18 bass (I don’t count rock bass as a bass). Fun ...more day!

    This walleye surprised me, while I was fishing for bass. I was lucky that he didn’t bite me off. Wish I had a live well (though these big eyes aren’t as tasty as ...more the smaller ones). Released quickly, and it swam away fine after a little tail winding.

    Largest of eight bass (17 total fish) today. Unbelievably crowded on the water today. 2-3 foot just from the continuous boat wakes.
