Lake Wallenpaupack Fishing Reports

Recently shared catches and fishing spots

  1. Fished about six hours, rain and hail for four hours, 20 mph winds with the rain. Caught some small largemouths, smallmouths, and a pickerel. Big smallies didn’t ...more seem to want to bite. Battling leaves on surface, waves, wind didn’t help. Had to find places to hide from weather. Good rain gear is a must! Pulled boat out.

Two of us put 7 hours in at Wallenpaupack yesterday: 1 hybrid striper, 1 three lb LMB, two 2 1/2 lb SMB, an about 15 small bass. Still very tough fishing. Big SMB ...more haven’t moved up yet. Two tournaments last weekend winning weights for 5 fish limits were 7 & 11 pounds- horribly hard fishing!!! If traveling hit NY Finger Lakes bass are hitting like crazy.

one key tip is always have a heavier rod rigged for stripers when they surface near you cast larger lure to spot ASAP. see them surface more early morning and as ...more sun sets.
