  1. 9 hours fishing in rain and mist. Two of us caught 24 smallmouth bass (biggest 3 1/2 lbs) and 3 pickerel. It was horrible fishing we usually catch well over 50 this ...more time of year with a number over 4 pounds. It was a grind.

  3. Spent the afternoon fishing with Tank. He fell overboard in the first 5 minutes. Luckily he wears his life jacket. We caught a bunch of 2 pound smallmouth and largemouths. ...more Couldnโ€™t find any big bass. Fun afternoon with my best furry friend .

    Smallmouth Bass

I never use bait dead or alive. You can catch 30 bass on same ZMan rubber lure if you donโ€™t lose it to a rock. I prefer the 1/10 oz NED heads.
    2. Tim Crowley 0
People throw dead bait for pike a lot especially overseas. Try green pumpkin NED Trdโ€™s and swimbaits in river. Right now tons of bass are stacked behind bigger rocks ...more in middle of river where you see current rippling over. Also getting hundreds on deeper rocky drop off banks of river. If you cast straight out or angled more down river youโ€™ll get snagged less but keep jighead close to bottom.

Tim, do you know if anything hits dead minnows
    4. Gary Eckert 0
I went to the river Tuesday with my brother and nothing was biting for some reason this year no matter where i go nothing seems to bite. I tried all kinds of bait ...more and lures. I told my brother i dont know why i even go fishing.
    5. Tim Crowley 0
Gary I just looked at your profile. Get that dog (and yourself) off the couch and go fishing. Hit the Susquehanna River has bass, pike, Muskie, and stripers! Wade ...more a mile or two a day covering different areas.

  5. For all my Pickerel fans (and Chris โ˜น๏ธ). Not a giant but better than average. Caught 15 smallmouth bass, a perch that flew through the air and hit lure when I lifted ...more it out of water, and the pickerel in 2 2/2 windy hours. 2nd trip in a row I managed to lose a 4 pound smallie. Iโ€™m putting better hooks on my top producing lures this winter. It really helped with topwater sure it will help with crankbaits and Rapala type lures.

Smallmouth Bass with a swim bait

    1. thomas l 0
not deep at all, caught close to shore with strikes happening I'd say 5-10 feet out mostly and probably 8-10 feet of water.
    2. fish on 0
      How deep are you fishing?
    3. Tim Crowley 0
Nice, more 3-4 pound smallmouths should be moving shallow in next couple weeks. October and November are best months for big ones.

torpedo was doing well that day, white belly's got me nothing but when switched to orange was getting hit way more.... cloudy day, too bad they were small where ...more I was.
    3. Tim Crowley 0
My best double at Wallenpaupack was years ago an 18โ€ & 19โ€ smallmouth. Iโ€™ve probably had 3-4 dozen doubles on Torpedoes alone over my lifetime.
    4. Tim Crowley 0
I love doubles (when it doesnโ€™t involve my body parts)
