  5. Early morning was very frustrating, lost 6 of the first 7 bass I hooked. Sadly, lost 10 total. Landed 12 for the day with two 3lbers, a 2.75lb and a couple 2.5lbers.

  7. Fished with my son Matt and brother Gary today. We caught fish early. Ran over 4 or 5 schools of hybrids and they were hungry. Landed 12 by 8:15 AM. After the early ...more bite I couldn’t find them. We fished till noon. Caught 4 cats. Used alwifes. Bait was a little tough to catch, about 15 casts for 60 bait. Great day of world class fishing on lake Arthur. I wish I lived closer!

  8. Wow! What a great morning. Not weather wise but I found a good school of hybrids. Landed 5 of 7. A real rush. Two largest combined weight was 19.5 lbs. I was worn ...more out after dealing with multiple doubles. It doesn’t get old but I’m feeling it now. I missed my brother being on board for boat control and rod management Bait was easy to catch. Lake Arthur rocks.

  9. Had a nice morning with brother Gary. We invited Kevin to fish with us. Bait was easy to get. Was a slow day like yesterday. Landed 4 hybrids, 1 30 inch musky and ...more 5 cats. Had two other hybrids nearly to net when hooks pulled. We found a nice school of hybrids late morning but couldn’t make them bite. Nice weather and a fun day anyway.

6 lb. 8 oz. 25 in. Hybrid Striped Bass with a Alwife

Putting in that time on the water pays off again!
  10. Caught a few hybrids in the rain this morning. Lost 2 others due to bad decisions. All big fish. Bait was easy to get. The Bimini top was a great option, kept me ...more pretty dry. I’ll be fishing a good bit the next few days.
