  2. I had to share this. I caught 6 yesterday, all dinks. 12 inches was my biggest. This dink of dinks had me laughing so hard I had to share it. I had switched over ...more to a rooster tail to catch some trout and this little guy came along for the ride. Frank gets the award for the biggest Bass yesterday and I get the biggest laugher. Oh well, was a fun 4 hours.

Thanks Bill! It wasn't too bad crowd wise. A lot of people across the breast of the dam but not elbow to elbow. Saw maybe 5 or 6 boats/kayaks on the water. Should ...more be a nice morning out there for ya!

Rainbow Trout with a Rooster Tail

    1. Mike Thompson 0
I only got one at Deer Lakes after catching 3-4 the last few times. Not sure if it was the weather, but Saturday just seemed like nothing was biting. I haven't ...more tried Glade Run yet though and didn't quite have the time to drag the kayak out.
  7. Caught my 1st EVER bullfrog! Then ANOTHER and ANOTHER! Finally hooked up on a LMB which is what I was actually fishing Good morning all around.

Bullfrog with a Yum Houdini Shad Pearl

    1. Bruce Parker 0
Wow! I never caught a frog except once with a night crawler and i was playing with him with the worm to see if he would take it. Glad you got that LMB. Nice report.
    2. Jim Holland 0
Yeah, that's what I did, too, when I went. I was so shocked at how many were out in kayaks, fishing, I almost left before I unloaded a single piece of gear. ...more Seemed everyone was hutting the submerged trees. I focused on the weeds and shadowy banks.
    3. Jeff B 0
Jim, you ain't kidding! 😂 There were so many people fishing down by the dam so I decided to explore a bit.
    4. Jim Holland 0
🤣 Before I read where you were, I thought "Glade Run Lake". The shallows are infested with them.
    5. Rick S 0
      Pretty unique catch Jeff!
    6. Mark Merlin 0
Your status as a legend continues to grow and grow.
    7. Drew H 0

  9. After a 2 week hiatus, I managed to get out on the water, today. Decided to check out Glade Run Lake. Was just reopened a couple seasons ago, and have never been ...more there. I knew the bass are still small and growing, so my expectations weren't high. Started the day with about 4 dinks in the shallows, and made my way toward the dam, where they got a bit bigger. Finished the day with the biggest, at 16 inches, all the way back near the boat launch, for a total of 7.

    Largemouth Bass

    1. Drew H 0
The little ones are still fun, 7 is a good day!
    2. Bruce Parker 0
16" Nice catch! Biggest I got there was 14. Great bass fishing for sure.
    3. Rick S 0
      Nice work Jim!
    4. Mark Merlin 0
I agree Jim. The weekends here are pretty busy. The same can be said for most lakes I think. With the virus, people want to get outside and fishing, kayaking, ...more boating are a great way to do it. While there are some 2 and 3 pounders in there, most days out won't be as rewarding as say going to Moraine.
    5. Jim Holland 0
Thanks guys! Yeah, I had held off going there, since it was all pretty new, and the fish are small right now, but I wanted to try someplace new. Don't know if ...more I'd go back. TONS of fishing pressure. Those bass are getting a crash course in lures!
    6. Chad Jaco 0
      Nice job Jim!!
    7. Frank Yamada 0
Nice, Jim. I’ve never fished Glade Run before.
    8. Mark Merlin 0
Nice going Jim, wasn't easy out there today.
