Willamette River Fishing Reports

  1. Well it warmed up this week, LOL. We’re no longer in the 20’s, but got drenched with 2-3 inches of rain in about a day. Longing for some summertime smallies in the ...more river. :)

  2. Nice beasty caught right at dusk last October on one of my last outings of the year. Always fun to hook a fighter like this. :)

      Nice Smallie🎣
  3. Took the daughter’s boyfriend fishing and picked up something big on the fish finder… thought it was probably a carp, but he caught this bad boy. Did not want to ...more come up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger catfish from the Willamette river. I’m sure they’re in there, but people usually just catch small ones. Made his day! :)

  4. I don’t usually catch largemouth in the river, but it’s always nice to find them occasionally (mostly smallies). Can’t wait to get back out there.

@lainedillard @tkotattoos there decent sturgeon/ catfish bait.. I don't eat most fish out of the Willamette. Had them out of the Columbia river.. I liked it, ...more some don't.. Similar to white fish..👌

Always sucks to see any good sized fish die not too familiar with pike minnows but hopefully they taste good if not the catfish bait it is
