  2. I finally got my kayak. An incredibly generous friend bought it for me for my birthday earlier this month. It's an emotion stealth 11 angler kayak. I can't ...more wait to get it out on the water.

  3. Details: Black Crappie

After catching the last crappie I figured out that they were in a lower water column than the bluegill so I changed out the Berkeley maggot for a Berkeley minnow ...more on my bluegill pole and fished it lower. I caught 10 crappie and another 3 came off before I could bring them in. 4lb invisigreen line, 1/32 oz jig hook, bobber and Berkeley minnow. Small twitches on the pole to move the minnow.

      way to figure them out!
  4. Details: Black Crappie

Caught my first black crappie ever. I was fishing my bluegill setup with a small float, 1/32 oz jig hook and a Berkeley maggot. I fished it closer to the bottom ...more at about 3ft of depth and the crappie inhaled it. Caught about 30ft from the dock at Spring Lake.

  5. Details: Bluegill Sunfish

My pb bluegill. 7" big boy. Conditions were slightly windy and overcast. The water was murky, about 12" of visibility. Air temp was 68*. Caught with a ...more bobber and Berkeley maggot on a really small jig hook on my bluegill pole which is an ultralight Shakespeare pole with 4lb invisiclear green line.

Any info? Conditions, water clarity, air temps, etc? You'll get more creds with more info.
  6. My daughter now has her own fishing setup. She loves to fish for bluegill.
