    Walleye with a Live Minnow

    1. Jerry Scott 0
80 is the possession limit on white bass in Devils Lake. That's not a typo...up until very recently it used to be unlimited (no limit) on white bass until the ...more Hmongs started taking literally PICKUP loads back to Minnesota with them. White bass are a nuisance fish in our lake. Fun to catch, but a nuisance none the less.
    2. Robert Coleman 0
Devil's Lake is full of white bass too! Our 6 didn't put much of a dent in the population.
    3. James George 0
I appreciate the comment about reproduction. Can you take too many bass? Should they be released and not eaten?
    4. nice fish!!! the walleye are perfect eating size any bigger and you are staring to cut into the reproduction of the lake!!

Ice fishing they can be picky. Most of them we caught just grabbed the minnow softly, but some hammered it.

    15. Robert Coleman 0
Thanks everyone for all the banter! Made us all laugh today! We ARE in North Dakota, no size limits. And Chris said it all.... little fish don't hurt the population ...more and they taste so good! πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»
    16. Smaller fish taste better and fish don't take long to grow to that size...does much less impact on the fisheries than big fish.
    17. Jerry Scott 0

  4. Brutally cold up here the last few days. We left early on Thursday night to stay ahead of the blizzard. We didn't even get to fish Saturday because it was so ...more bad. Finally located a few fish today, but it's been tough! Biggest Perch so far and not many of them. Locals are saying it is a terrible year for the perch! Off to look for walleyes tomorrow at a neighboring lake.
