      This looks more like a spotted bass. This pictures is actually a good example because you can see the two fins on the top are connected. There are actually very ...more few large mouth in lake Norman compared to the number of spotted bass.

  6. This was the largest spot of the day. Caught two more after this that were not picture worthy for a total of 6 on the day.

      and if it came out of Lake Norman it’s probably a spotted bass. there are some large mouth bass in the lake but you will get at least 10 spots for every large mouth.

      They also have a small tooth patch on their tongues and their spines on their back are all one instead of splitting into two separate patches.

      That actually looks more like a spotted bass. you can usually tell by the pattern above the black lateral line on the bass’s back . that’s a pretty good sized spot ...more too
