My trip got pushed back a few weeks, but I went out this morning and rented a boat from Bayside Marina because all I have are kayaks. They wouldn't let us leave ...more the French Creek Bay, so I was fishing some drop-offs on the west side of the bay with a 3 inch gulp alive minnow on a dropshot and a zoom Junebug tube. I ended up catching 3 pretty good size perch, but unfortunately no bass.

Graham they are stating to move deeper so focus on that 16-30 zone. Dropshot is all you will need !

Nice one. I am heading up there this weekend to try and catch my first smallmouth. I have fished for largemouth for years, but was wondering what lures I should ...more use for smallmouth and what presentation would work best. Or do I fish them the same way as largemouth.
