  8. Details: Walleye

Casting at some dink bass and got this surprise walleye hooked up. I tried to bass lift it and it broke off and fell in the river. I tried to grab it and it disappeared ...more in a cloud of smoke. I was upset to lose the fly as it was my only one of that variety. I tied on a bugger and started fishing again. 10 minutes later I looked down and saw a tail under a rock. I laid on the rocks and grabbed

  9. Details: Smallmouth Bass

Been having a lot of fun fishing for smallmouth with my fly rod. Even though most of the fish are this size, watching them come up to smash flies is pretty rad. ...more I watch for surface violence then huck the bugger out as far as I can and strip it back pretty quickly. Sometimes there are 3-4 chasing it down at the same time. It's been good practice for steelhead!

  10. Details: Walleye

Fishing some real shallow ripples for panfish and thought I snagged into a rock. Felt 2 big head shakes and knew I hooked something solid. Nice 3 minute fight on ...more 6lb test, made it hard to bass lift. I had to get in the water and flip him onto the shore. I was alone and had to put the size 13 foot in the pic for perspective.
