Been having a lot of fun fishing for smallmouth with my fly rod. Even though most of the fish are this size, watching them come up to smash flies is pretty rad. ...more I watch for surface violence then huck the bugger out as far as I can and strip it back pretty quickly. Sometimes there are 3-4 chasing it down at the same time. It's been good practice for steelhead!
