  2. I can't wait to go fishing here in 2 weeks!!!! It's a bucket list destination for me. How's the fishing been?

    1. Brian Jensen 0
Bass for the most part, both large and smallmouth.

St. Lawrence/Thousand Islands is one of my favorite spots in the world! Largemouth, Smallmouth, Walleye, Musky, you'll find something biting! I hear the largies ...more and smallies have been hot in the past couple weeks on drop shots and tubes. What are you targeting? Walleye's a night thing at this time of year in my opinion. Musky won't be easy either, hear a lot about the guide Marc Thorpe but never fished with him. Get an Ontario license too! half the fishing is on that side!

  3. Still plenty of ice out there. the main channel is broken up but the bays still have 24+ inches in some spots. bluegills, crappies and perch have all been decent ...more lately. Fatheads and waxies the preferred baits...Trout season opens up April 1st so we are gearing up for that. Good Luck!!!!

We did NOT get the snow that Watertown received. Ice is bare and slippery, you will need studs on anything you try to move on the ice.
WARM TEMPERATURES WITH WIND LAST FEW DAYS PROCEED WITH CAUTION, MOST PLACES SHOULD BE FINE BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.

Remember conditions change daily please us caution on ALL bodies of Water. Good Luck.

Reports of some nice catches of Pike have been taken in Chippewa Bay, Moon Lake and Perch Lake. Also reports of 9" perch in Chaumont Bay with a lot of dinks. Some fishing going on off of Round Island, catching some nice perch, should be a great weekend for fishing if the weatherman is right.

  5. Mostly all the anglers around this area have switched from bass, crappies and walleyes to concentrate on the musky action that is picking up nicely. Anglers are ...more trolling large profile baits such as Jakes, Dbl 13 bucktails, Grandmas and believers just to name a few. Although the muskies are getting a majority of the attention, we are seeing some perch and crappies start to make their way up river. They should continue to pick up in the upcoming weeks. Weather wise we are looking at some windy conditions for the nest couple of days and the temps should continue to drop. Fall fishing is heating up so stop on by and wet a line. Good Luck!!!

  6. Fishing on Lake Ontario is still good to very good, with the fish moving closer to shore every week. Look for some solid chinook action in the early morning hours ...more and then again toward evening right as the temperatures cool off. There have been some good reports of both steelhead and chinooks being caught from the jetties when conditions are favorable. The Bass are remaining fairly shy so fish for them in waters up to 40 feet deep. Northern pike action remained good on the weed line edges in 8 to 20 feet of water.

  7. Lake Ontario with Brandon Palaniuk the day after his 2nd BASS Elite Series win & as you can see there was still a bunch of fish left. In case you are wondering ...more why the trophy is in the boat, well its because I made him bring it..... I figured that may be the only way I will ever get one of those in my boat.
