  1. The anti ice weather is letting us get the most use out of johnโ€™s new boat. Had a good day with 4 good keeper togโ€ฆ then got rained on ๐Ÿ˜‚

    Tautog with a Homemade jigs

    1. Jonathan Chin 0
I love using the jigs. I feel like I am getting a higher percentage of my hits being converted to fish being reeled in. I have caught several fish over four pounds ...more with them, and even a few in the six to eight class. My only 10 came on a Belmar rig. Still, I have a lot of confidence in the jig.
    2. green crabs. all on jigs for me. my buddy used a bait rig and got no keepers this day
    3. Jonathan Chin 0

  2. the pickiest i've ever seen blitzing fish.... they were crashing through bait everywhere, but it was very tiny rainfish and most of the stripers were quite tiny. ...more this one just cleared the keeper mark at 28.5" and was the only nicer size fish... kind of frustrating.
