Maximum 38 feet deep. Try the channel and the areas near it is the best place to find every kind of fish. Even though the channel produces lots of nice fish make sure you don't forget about the points, feeder creeks, the windblown shoreline, and weedlines...

  3. Details: Northern Pike with a H20 express 8 ft. Diver crank in sexy shad

My dad's huge pike, 35" 11 pounds, picture doesn't give it justice because he's 6' 2".Best fighting pike I've ever seen. Hooked almost ...more at the boat and made three runs along the boat side until I was able to net him. I didn't even catch him and my hands were shaky. Despite the blood, he swam away fine after some reviving.

I've never heard of how holding fish vertically can break their jaw but I'll be careful..
    2. whitebass_81 0
Ok thanks for the info, still not sure how how that might break their jaw though. I get it if you hold them like that but at an angle @CalvinFease
    3. Calvin Fease 0
You're holding it like that in your profile pic.
    4. Calvin Fease 0
It can break their jaw which impairs eating, and could eventually starve them to death. You can prevent this by supporting their weight horizontally near the anal ...more fin.
    5. whitebass_81 0
Didn't know that, and how does holding them by the mouth kill them? @CalvinFease
    6. Calvin Fease 0
Actually, if you're careful, gilling them is the safest way. You won't break their jaw like lipping them; and if you clamp their gill plates, it could break ...more various things in their gills.
    7. whitebass_81 0
Haha i know, just wanted to try it. I normally clamp down their gill flaps with one hand and hold the tail with the other, I don't like putting my hands in fish's ...more gills. @CalvinFease
    8. Calvin Fease 0
Just FYI, it's a lot easier if you don't hold them by the lower lip like you would with bass. Either grab them under the gill flap or pin them around the ...more back of the head.

Nice walleye man! Just one thing to add--walleye like the water pretty cool, so that's why they go deeper in summer.

  10. Details: Smallmouth Bass with a h20 lipless crank bait

Here's mine @CalvinFease not hand painted or anything, just thought i'd show you. Looking forward to using it next summer up north because my lake is full ...more of them to, it's really killing the whitebass

    1. Jacob Breaux 0
@CalvinFease Nah I don't have any lakes around me with barfish in them. So I've never had the chance to try one
    2. Calvin Fease 0
@bassinboy01 yeah. They're neat. They look real cool up close, but from a distance, they seem to lack depth and contrast. Do any good on them?
    3. Jacob Breaux 0
@CalvinFease Oh lol this is the paint scheme I was talking about. Had to take a second look when I saw it in the store for the first time! Their natural series is ...more super realistic!
    4. whitebass_81 0
      Thanks! I appreciate it @lemesnil
    5. Calvin Fease 0
@whitebass_05 yep. @lemesnil nailed it. You can't work these things wrong.
    6. lemesnil 0
It sinks nicely so even just working a consistent retrieve at various speeds will produce on this lil guy..
    7. lemesnil 0
Like any other I use the slow roll, pause, pull. Slow roll, pause, pull. The head on this lure should be a lil pinkish purple like a fish that's been hit a few ...more times. So a good lil spastic routine :)
    8. whitebass_81 0
You've used it? Any recommendations on how to work it? @lemesnil
    9. lemesnil 0
Love that lure... H2o nailed this one...
