Yesterday's morning birthday fishing trip. First time to Delacroix. Tons of grass makes it tough to fish I should have had a weedless Texas rig on but the spinnerbait ...more worked pretty good if I kept it in the top 6" of water. The fish all slammed the spinnerbait. 4 bass and a 29" red. Great day !

Yeah there's not as much grass in Hopedale. In my experience though, it's a lot more difficult to catch fish from a kayak.

@redfisher98 Thanks man! I think I might try Hopedal next

Went kayak fishing today with my dad and had a great day! He caught 7 specks on a vudu shrimp under a popping cork, and I caught 2 reds and 3 bass fishing a Texas ...more rigged matrix shad swimming it around the grass. The red on the left is 26.5" and the one on the right is 24".

Not very far. Paddle down the main canal to the right and then go down the first smaller canal you see. Then there's a pond along that smaller canal that's ...more loaded with fish.

How far did you have to paddle to get to a spot? Plan on going down there this Sunday

They are pretty good, I only keep bass when I'm in the marsh though because I'm usually keeping redfish and specks also @makzymos
    10. Evan Geiger 0
@makzymos alot of people eat bass and there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating them. They do not taste overly fishy and they filet well. I do not eat them often ...more because I like to conserve
    11. Makz Jaramillo 0
Are bass that good to eat?
    12. Awesome...nice haul! 👍
