Marty, sadly we didn't get any bronzebacks during the electro fishing. However, last month a man told me his daughter caught one this year. I asked him if he ...more was sure it was a smallmouth and he acted offended so I believe him. They're far and few between if there's any in there.
    2. Marty Klein 0
Adam - did you folks get any smallies during the electro-shocking?
    3. Doubleplayoutdoors . 0

  10. 14 in. Largemouth Bass with a arbogast scatterbug

    1. Adam Sargent 0
Nice! A lot of fishermen tell me they catch crappie on swim and jerk baits when they're fishing for bass. Seems like they catch just as many crappie as the people ...more that try specifically for crappie.
    2. Brian Quisenberry 0
Went out for a while took my wife and two youngest kids with me so I wasn't able to fish real hard. Ended up putting on a couple of Berkeley flicker shad and ...more letting the ipilot do the work and troll us around the lake a couple laps. Didn't hit any big wiper like I was hoping for but did catch a couple of keeper sized crappie which was a surprise.
    3. Adam Sargent 0
Good luck out there! I'm sure the crappie population will make a comeback now that the water is back up. Bass have been active at night lately too. I've ...more caught some nice ones with cut bluegill.
    4. Brian Quisenberry 0
Nice I will bring some worms then for the bluegill. I will post some pics if I do any good. I hope they get the crappie stocking going again that used to be an ...more awesome crappie lake!!
    5. Adam Sargent 0
Not the greatest crappie population but they're around. In May, lots of people were after them but I never saw more than a dozen on a stringer. Heard rumors ...more of 16 inchers getting pulled out of there this year. I've heard from other people that crappie lights at night work pretty good out there. The bluegill population makes up for the crappie. There's a lot of good, eater sized bluegill.
    6. Brian Quisenberry 0
Adam have you talked to anyone catching any crappie out there this summer?? I used to do good out there at night with a submersible green light. I was thinking ...more about trying it tonight.
