There is a cove on the west side of resivoir where the sailing club is. I like that cove. I think there are good spots all around so sorry I can't say one is ...more better than another.
    2. Boatless is it better to fish down by the dam then up in the park?

  4. So after a few weeks of dry spell and my 2nd trip in the park I finely broke thru with this little guy was mad this morning at first I thought it might be 3 pounds ...more + but as I got him close to shoreline I realized he was just pissed off nice hit on the top water I went in with 4 rods rigged differently and just kept working this pond I want to make it out to the stone pile at the tip of the bird sanctuary mouth of the creek tomorrow morning and see if I can figure this lake out

    2. Boatless the first time I went into the park about 3 weeks ago I hit that with a Holden moss boss but didn’t get any reaction. I didn’t get any reaction that whole ...more day and I walked around the bird sanctuary what about from the 56th to the go ape area I’m thinking of putting in at go ape and fishing that whole shoreline this morning I saw some strippers hitting the water on the south side of 56th were those pontoon boat are
    3. Mr. Boatless 0
It looks like from this photo you must have been fishing at Lily Lake inside the park? There is a small little pond that's covered with moss just north of Lily ...more Lake it's a little bit hard to see but you can see it from the road. I've pulled some 2- 3 pounders out of there in the past. you'll have to fish it with finesse. It's been a few years since I have fished it, but thought it was worth a mention.

  5. Another beautiful morning, a bit chilly. 4 today plus 1 Smallmouth. 🐠

Largemouth Bass with a Gary Yamamoto Original Senko Worms

  6. Slow bite today. With the cold front that passed through over the weekend, coupled with stained water from heavy rains and water being drawn down, I expect it'll ...more take a day or two for them to become aggressive again. We caught two chunks on the north end by the bird sanctuary and 5 south of the bridge

2 lb. 2 oz. 18 in. Largemouth Bass with a Gary Yamamoto Original Senko Worms

    6. Griffin Lenz 0
Boatless - it does look like a golf course but it is actually up the creek mouth west of the bird sanctuary.
    7. Mr. Boatless 0
Nice job Alan that looks like a golf course behind you I didn't know the golf course butted up right next to the reservoir?

  8. Caught 6 this morning. 4.2lb, 3.9lb, 3.2lb, 2.4lb, 2.0 lb and an honorable mention. I lost a vintage Bagley DB9. Almost lost my gator grip Golden rule. Almost lost ...more my pliers. I had fun though I was catching them on crankbaits and top water. I had 2 that got away, I didn't get them landed. I lost some last weekend also, and I believe it was because I'm getting lazy setting the hook. Those larger bass have tough mouths.

4 lb. 2 oz. Largemouth Bass

    1. copy that I’m a power fisherman also I have 4 rods 2 spinners and 2 bait casters I’ve lived here since 2012 mostly fished up in New Hampshire I’m really liking ...more the hunt for big bass out here I plan on doing some creek fishing this week or just exploring the mouth of eagle creek I’ll be back from Tennessee tonight I might head over to raul king tonight to get some good wading boots I have a Colorado pontoon rig just trying to figure out a good place to put in over there at the mouth of eagle creek
    2. Mr. Boatless 0
Hello Charlie I did not have an opportunity to measure the water temperature. Majority were near the mouth. I am primarily a power fisherman and carry 4-5 rods ...more all rigged differently. The more time fishing and less time goofing around with rigging. I look for targets that should have fish and then choose the appropriate rig. I cover a lot of ground. I twisted my ankle back in June and it still is giving me fits. Last year I got in some poison Ivy that sent me to the doctor and I lost a week of work. Yesterday I slipped off the embankment and filled my boots with water. For me the challenge is not only catching the fish but trying to get to where the fish are at. 🐠
    3. what’s the water temp
    4. are you catching these by the 56th street bridge or at the mouth of the creek

  9. What a beautiful morning this morning. 66° at 10:00 a.m. and a little humid. the Largemouth pictured weighed 5.2 lb on my digital scale just a little over 21 ...more in. I have an old Gator grip Golden rule tournament board which is 22 1/2 in Long. I lost one that was bigger just prior to catching this one as it jumped almost completely out of the water and shook the lure out of the its mouth. Catching this one however made me feel a lot better I thought I was going to go home again with a fishing story about the big one that got away which happens a lot. Just throw your Yamamoto out there and let it do its thing. 🐠

5 lb. 3 oz. 21.0 in. Largemouth Bass with a Gary Yamamoto Original Senko Worms

    1. nice fish I’ve been down at Douglas lake in Tennessee and haven’t cough a thing I have all next week to Fisk eagle creek

I used to fish the reservoir frequently back in the early 90s when I had a boat. I also used to live on the reservoir. Last year I had a muskie on that was 10-15 ...more pound, I didn't get it landed. I also used to do a lot of ice fishing back in the mid 70's and early 80's. There hasn't been as much ice annually as there was decades ago.
    4. Griffin Lenz 0
Thanks boatless. Get the big one next time!
    5. Nice!
    6. Mr. Boatless 0
Griffin, yes the water was boiling on the reservoir side between the hundreds of geese and the boat commands, it sounded like a circus. I saw loads of people fishing ...more and carrying 5 gallon buckets. A lot of them fish out on that mouth point for catfish. There is a rock wall on the north side of that mouth that runs east and west, I've had a lot of luck there.
    7. Eric Aldridge 0
      Sorry Mr Boatless!!!

  10. Great fishing day on Eagle Creek. Started off slow in the morning, but the rain really turned on the fish and we boated 20+ largemouth. 3 fish 3+lbs, the rest were ...more 13”-16”. Majority were caught on natural colored Senkos, but were also caught on shad color crank baits and spinnerbaits. Surface water temp is starting to dip below 70 degrees

3 lb. 8 oz. 18 in. Largemouth Bass with a Gary Yamamoto Original Senko Worms

    1. Griffin Lenz 0
Charlie - there is a rental spot near the bird sanctuary where you can launch (not sure if there is a fee). Otherwise the main boat ramp is located near the dam.
    2. Griffin I have a one mane Colorado pontoon raft with a trolling motor trying to figure out the best place to put in I don’t see anything near the bird sanctuary. ...more any suggestions would be great
    3. Griffin Lenz 0
Charlie - if you are fishing on shore the majority of people fish along the rip rap on the bird sanctuary trails or along 56 street.
    4. What was your location I fished off shore Saturday in the rain all around the bird sanctuary first time in the park caught nothing ended up going to the creek off ...more Lafayette Road bridge and caught two small bass just so that I wouldn’t be so disappointed and getting skunked but it was my first time in the park Learning curve to figure out Eagle Creek Reservoir
    5. Alan Lenz 0
      Nice day on the water
    6. Scott S 0
Sounds like you had a good day
