      Common carp have appendages from the mouth area, their mouths turn down and they have reddish/brown fins: LEAVE THE CARP TO DO THEIR JOBNIN CANDLEWOOD

      that is a common carp. not a grass carp. the grass carp are bought and paid for, these are sport fish. always have been, since they stopped farming them for food.
