Nice day for Boulder Creek. I got 2 wild German strain brown in the 13 and 14 inch range. 2 more browns in the 14 inch range (including one on a dry), and then this ...more bucknasty brown took a nymph that had a tungsten bead and not any split shot.

Fishin has been good on the creek recently caught this nice one out of a deep plunge pool. Once I felt head shakes I knew it was a big fish.
Ran out of 5x and 6x so I had to land this and other fish on 7x in a flooded river. Amazed that I landed it.
One of the biggest fish Iβve caught all summer!
Landed my first Boulder Creek brown on Sunday!
Hooked two, landed this cutie, and had one guy keep jumping in front of me. On the other side I kept getting snagged ...more so I lost about 4 flies and I spent a lot of time untangling my line. Overall it was great day though!! I def feel like I'm learning and starting to get a hang of it.
