Bear Canyon Lake Fishing Reports

Recently shared catches and fishing spots

  1. Details: Rainbow Trout

Early in the morning when the Rainbows were still feeding high in the water for bugs, we floated marshmallows and they NAILED them. We figured this out too late ...more in the morning so floating the marshmallows needs to be done BEFORE the sun hits the water. Once the sun hit the water the fish moved to the bottom. We then used power bait with a marshmallow an inch above the hook to help if float off the bottom. We took an inflatable boat out on the lake and were the ONLY boat out there. Came home with 3 nice Rainbows that went into the smoker.
