Fish the river channel, there are other places but i have always had luck on the channels. If you are in a boat drop the bait to the bottom then reel up about 1-2' ...more of line picking the bait up off of the bottom preventing it from snagging the bottom. I use chicken liver as bait but there are other baits that work great like chicken breast and shad cut bait...etc. watch a few youtube videos on how to rig the chicken liver to your hook since there is a trick to it

  9. New to the area plan on taking my son to Wheeler and putting in at Elk Creek. Love some current advice of where to look for bass or bream

There's been a recent willow fly hatch. Look for bream under overhanging branches and trees. Can also find bass in the same place.
