  Frank...yes...my drag was going off big time. He just wouldnt come to the surface. I was using a medium, 6'6" Rod. Loved every second of it.

  It surprise the heck out of me when a carp gets aggressive like that. Did it strip your drag?

  John we had a pond near our home where I grew up, filled with Carp. I loved catching them. Packed 2 Rods, Doughball and Corn and had a blast.

  That's awesome Mark. When we were kids we would make a big cherry or strawberry doughball and head down to the Monongahela River to fish just for carpet and ...more catfish. So many great fights, with so many big fish! Great memories.
