FINALLY GOT ON SOME ICE!! caught a mess of gills, but this one took the cake.. caught on 2lb test, on a ice fishing jig for gills.. GOT LUCKY, because that don't usually happy to much... Lol. 😁😁 The best part was that, that is my buddies ice rod.. so he gave me sh*t for using it.. lmao..

      Lol. It's np Ed.. This rod here is an Abu Garcia 28in ice series.. How would I rate it? 🤔🤔 11 out of 10.. THAT'S WHY I USE IT. 😂😂 good strong ...more hook set, but VERRY sensitive at the same time.. Work best for pan fish, pike was a great fight, and wouldn't be bad if I ran tougher line.. lol but 2lbs works best for me.

      i had a big pike (maybe 32 inches plus) go around all my tip ups one time and hit my micro bug jig on #4 line i was using for panfish. got it all the way to the ...more hole but it thrashed when i tried to grab it and cut the line haha. well done bud!

      Big Q. that's true man.. Tv will tell you one thing to use, when the fish want something totally different. There was about 5 guys or so that was trying ...more for pike, with live minnows, and I end up catching one on a ice jig.. hahahaha. they wasn't to happy!! so I let them have it.
