Set out to get some gar with a buddy and even though we had to chase them around and really search for them we still got a few. I hooked up to 5 gar total, landed 3 of them with a 36" as the biggest of the day and still 31" as the smallest. I lost another one about that size when it bit through the line which rarely happens. The other one was a 40"+ monster that heart breakingly spit the hook.
