Today I also got my buddy his very first gar. He's an excellent fisherman but usually only goes after bass and carp. Today we set out to get his first and even though the bite was strangely slow we still managed and he hooked one. His gar was 33" which is above average. He also got a nice size 3lb white catfish and brought him home for dinner, glad someone left happy.
