Was fishing a weed line and pulled this little guy out only to notice a big chunk of him was missing. My guess is a pickerel did the damage?

      Probably a bird. A chain pickerel would leave both top and bottom marks

      A lot of bass in my pond have a scar in the exact same place and there are no pickerel or gar in there
