First Marlin caught. While this was an epic battle I was sad to see that the captain would not release this fish so he could feed his family. Prayed to the man upstairs for the experience and thanked this beautiful animal. It was a bit over 6 feet. We were trolling ballyhoo around big weed patches. This fish hit the only rod in the spread with a tiny reel.
