After huge rains all the day before I got up early to chase smallies in the outflow of a local creek when it enters the lake. Wipers and walleye are extremely rare in the lake I fish however I decided to try for walleye I was ripping the jerk bait in the eddies when she flashed it I knew what she was and set the hook as hard as I could to drive the hook into her thick mouth she nearly spooled me
