Opening day! First fish of the year right there. The bite was very slow. Only 2 bass today, the first (about 1 to 1.5 lbs) on the way out, about 100 feet from the launch. The second (about 2.5 lbs) on the way back, about 30 feet from the launch. I should have just hung out there! Hopefully as the water warms up over the next few weeks the bite will too.
