Thank you to everyone who tipped us off on ways to start figuring this waterway out... Its very different than my natural lakes at home but we did pin the fish down and produced multi-species limits each day

Great going Jake. I am planning a trip up to North salem , In to visit my brother in law at the end of September. We will be going down to Brookville for an 8-10 ...more day stay. Maybe we can hook up in the fall. I live here in Central Florida in Deltona. Bass bite is really good here right now as they are feeding on the Thread Fin Shad and Menhadden that have hatched recently. Low water has the fish concentrated and very wary. The bite lasts about 1.5 hrs in the morning and about 30-45 minutes late afternoon.

We caught walleyes trolling the tree tops in Templeton creek with size 5,7, and 9 flicker minnows flat lining about 75-100 ft back on a 1.5ish mph troll, anything ...more with a black belly worked and caught fish drifting crawler harnesses and whistler jigs on both the 20ish ft flat at Egypt Hollow and the 13-15 ft flat on the down lake side of Egypt Hollow as well.... It was our first time and the water was very high but being drawn down quickly.... we saw surface temps from 73 on Wednesday down to 58 later in the week and then back to mid 60s by the time we left.... we were mostly Walleye fishing but very happy with the mixed bag.... the only fish we didn't catch were the Muskies and the Flatheads. I guess the 20 is probably usually that 14-16 ft and the 13-15 usually that 10 range.... First trip but we will make it back ASAP.

Very nice fish. My buddy and I were out on the Fairfield flats 2 Sundays ago and caught 6 nice ones but his 24.5" was the biggest we were able to put in the ...more boat. Taking a group of guys this coming week/weekend to try and catch a mess. We're you having the best luck in around 14-16' of water on the sandy bottom flats?
