After the colder weather moved in and firmed up the ice I went out to do some walleye fishing. I ended up catching pike instead. I caught this guy and one smaller one. I also lost a monster that I never did see, probably in the 40+ inch range. I went back and forth with him for several minutes before he bit through my 20 lb fluorocarbon walleye leader. All of the pike action was on tip ups with suckers.

Haha! Thanks for clearing that up for me, Chris. I guess I read that a little too fast. That sucks about your ice. The worst is when there is too much ice to fish ...more open water but it is not safe for ice fishing!
    13. Jerry Krupinski 0
Back at it Tim. Nice Pike now let's see a Walleye.
    14. Christopher Pereira 0
he said his ice is thin down in florida! haha. Nice pike brother, our ice is GONE! completely gone...starting to skim over again as of today, it's pretty ...more annoying.
    15. Tim Steinmetz 0
It's really not. The ice just looks bad because there isn't any snow on top after the warm weather. Based on the forecast I will most likely be driving my ...more truck out next weekend.
    16. Capt Morris Campbell 0
Nice work Tim!!! Ice is still kinda thin here.
