About Wahoo

A member of the mackerel family, long and streamlined with about 30 dark wavy bars for camouflage. The wahoo is a steel blue fish above and pale blue below. A distinguishing characteristic is that protrusions on the gills (gill rakers) are absent. Wahoo have a wide, narrow, and forked tail. The head is sharply pointed and the jaws are elongated to form an almost beak-like snout. Teeth are triangular and finely serrated.
