1. I'm going fishing at Santee Cooper the second weekend of April. This will be my first time fishing there. Fishing for Bass. Any advice would be greatly appreciated ...more as to what bait/lures seem to be popular this time of year. I know people don't like to give up their honey holes but any "round about locations" would be helpful too! Thanks!!!

use a small artafishal lure and through it very light so you don't scare em

Yep, we schedule our fishing trip the same time every year bc of that very reason. Thanks Scott.

I fished santee years ago. been awhile. but be careful of the hidden stumps. you can run the channel safely, which is marked pretty good. but after that a lot of ...more stumps that makes the lake great. swallow crank baits and spinner bait worked pretty good and the stumps and lille pads. I fished the lower lake, but the very north area of that lake. good luck and BE SAFE.
